Introducing the Exclusive Collaboration between No Identity and Contemporary Chinese Artist Zhang Zhanzhan:
No Identity is thrilled to announce its upcoming partnership with the esteemed contemporary Chinese artist, Zhang Zhanzhan. This collaboration unveils a limited-edition crossover timepiece featuring the captivating mascot "Lumi" gracing the dial.
Crafted by the visionary Zhang Zhanzhan expressly for the CSA Aerospace Art Museum in Beijing, the endearing mascot "Lumi" embodies a seamless fusion of humanities, artistry, and the aerospace spirit. Symbolizing the essence of exploration, this delightful character is set to embark on a celestial journey aboard the Gu Shen Xing-1 rocket as the distinguished 2024 "Beijing Gift."
"Lumi" symbolizes humanity's enduring fascination with the cosmos, bridging the realms of artistic expression and the marvels of space exploration. The dragon, a revered spiritual totem in Chinese culture, holds profound significance within this narrative.
Zhang Zhanzhan (@zhangzhanzhan_official), born in Hebei Province in 1982, graduated from the Nanjing Art Institute in 2008, and currently based in Beijing. Renowned as a contemporary artist, Zhang Zhanzhan is exclusively represented by ArtDepot and is celebrated as one of China's most sought-after post-80s contemporary artists.
"My works are primarily about an experience of life. Whether it's animals or figures I paint, they all exude a sense of solitude. I believe that sometimes people are quite lonely. You might appear to be surrounded by a lively atmosphere, but finding someone with whom you can truly open up and share a deep mutual understanding is rare, almost nonexistent. That feeling of loneliness can be incredibly strong at times."
